2007 Jim Ed McGee Graduate Honors Award
Andrew W. Hafs was selected by a faculty committee from the Graduate Council as the 2007 Jim Ed McGee Honors Award winner. The award is given each year to an outstanding graduate student receiving their degree for the previous year. Andrew graduated from Tech in 2007 with a M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science. While at Tech, he taught labs for Introduction to Biology. He has two articles co-authored by Dr. C. J. Gagen currently in preparation for publication in The Journal of Freshwater Ecology.

Currently, he is a PhD candidate with the Wildlife and Fisheries Resources Program at West Virginia University. At West Virginia, he teaches lab for all sections of ichthyology.

2005 Jim Ed McGee Graduate Honors Award
Elizabeth Bowles, the 2005 Jim Ed McGee Graduate Honors Award winner has been accepted into the doctoral program at Middle Tennessee State University. Ms. Bowles is currently a Visiting Instructor in the Department of Health and Physical Education. She received the M.Ed. from Arkansas Tech University in 2005.
